ACS Small & Medium Business Webinar Series presents
From Idea to IPO and Beyond: Practical Lessons from an Entrepreneur
A half-hour presentation followed by Q&A with speaker Al Altomari, MBA; an opportunity for scientist professionals and small/medium businesses to learn from an experienced executive and a spin out veteran on how to find opportunities and benefit from spin out companies.
With many large companies downsizing, spin out companies are becoming the next growing opportunities. The “spin out” model can be when a company takes assets, intellectual property, technology, and/or existing products from the parent organization to form another independent firm, or when an employee or group of employees leaves an existing company to start-up an independent firm. Spin outs are important drivers of technical innovations and growth of new firms in the downturn economy. Mr. Al Altomari, who was part of the spin out from inception to IPO and beyond, will share his insight and strategies for finding opportunities and learning how to benefit from spin outs.
