Meet your Expert
Dr. Edward Askew has worked in the private and public sector as both a chemist and regulator. His areas of expertise encompass: industrial FIFRA GLP analysis for certification/recertification of a pesticides, commercial environmental laboratories performing CLP for RCRA and SARA/CERCLA projects, state regulatory agency pesticide analyses and enforcement for FIFRA, CWA, SDWA compliance and water/wastewater analysis. Dr. Askew is the past chair of the Laboratory Practices Committee for the Iowa Water Pollution Control Association, is currently the chair of the AWWA-Iowa Section Laboratory Practices Committee and is the vice-chair of the AWWA Water Quality Laboratory Committee. Dr. Askew is a committee member of Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater and the Part Coordinator for Part 4000 Inorganic Nonmetallic Constituents. Dr. Askew has received awards from: the Iowa Water Pollution Control Association for Laboratory Analyst, the WEF Arthur Sidney Bedell Award for Service, the IOWATER Professional of the Year the Iowa Governors Award for Volunteerism.
