Meet Your Expert

Dr. Dan Daly is Director of the Alabama Innovation and Mentoring of Entrepreneurs Center.  He has 17 years of experience in the fuel and lubricant businesses. Dan has won several awards: Nortech Top 50 Industrial Innovation Award for Northeast Ohio; R&D Magazine Top 100 Industrial Innovation Award, and ACS Environmental Industrial Innovation Award.  Dr. Daly has a Ph.D. in Physical-Organic Chemistry from the University of Florida, Gainesville.

 

 

 

Meet the Moderator

Dr. Richard P. Swatloski holds both bachelor’s and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry, and has received multiple awards and recognition, including the Kenneth G. Hancock Memorial Award for ionic liquid and green chemistry achievements.  Dr. Swatloski has contributed to 50+ peer-reviewed publications and multiple patents.  In 2006, Dr. Swatloski accepted a position as a Licensing Associate and helped establish The University of Alabama’s Office for Technology Transfer. His current duties include various aspects of intellectual property protection, management and licensing, agreement development, business creation, and education.  Dr. Swatloski is active in the Association for University Technology Managers and a member of the Licensing Executive Society.
