Richard Howe began his career in the insurance industry and later established Hamilton Howe Insurance Agency which provided hundreds of business clients with group health, dental, disability and life insurance. In 2010, he partnered with Jack McIntosh to form Commonwealth Advantage, a group benefits consulting firm which specializes in the design, implementation and monitoring of comprehensive group benefits plans. He has served as director of claims services for a major insurance carrier as well as on committees for compliance and product development.
Joan VanGelderen has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. She served as VP of Affinity Marketing and Operations for Unitrin Direct Insurance and VP of Affinity Sales and Marketing for Nationwide Insurance, in addition to roles with Metlife, Citizens Insurance Company of America, Diversified Insurance, EVE Insurance, and State Farm Insurance. She has a full understanding of the life and health products ACS Member Insurance offers, as well as product development, underwriting, claims, technology, partnership programs, sales, and marketing.

Dr. Breazeale retired from higher education in the State of South Carolina after 30+ years. A long-time member of the American Chemical Society, Jack has served on numerous committees including the National Chemistry Week Task Force, the Committee on Chemical Safety and the Committee on Committees. He is currently CFenselauhair of the Board of Trustees for the ACS Member Insurance Program and Chair of the Committee on Nomination and Elections. Professional activities continue in the area of laboratory safety currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Laboratory Safety Institute and as an Instructor in LSI Safety Workshops.
