Meredith Dow has over 14 years experience in the staffing industry and started the Life Sciences practice for PROVEN in early 2008. During the last 3 years, she has been the top performer for the company and has developed PROVEN’s Life Sciences practice into one of the premier Scientific staffing sources in San Diego. Previously, she opened and managed the Scientific branch for a $1 billion staffing company where she developed and led the company’s most successful Scientific branch for 9 of the 10 years that she was with the company.
Jodi Hutchinson is Student Programs Manager at Dow Corning Corporation. Since joining Dow Corning in 2009, Jodi and her team have significantly grown the Internship Program in addition to doubling the number of full-time college recruits hired off campus. She previously served as HR Manager for Saginaw Valley State University. Jodi has a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and a Master’s degree from Saginaw Valley State University.
Dr. Alveda Williams is the R&D Leader for Strategic Recruitment and the Research Assignments Program (RAP) at Dow Chemical. In this role, she is responsible for global hiring. planning for R&D, Ph.D. recruiting in the U.S., and management of RAP, which offers Dow Ph.D. scientists and engineers the opportunity to explore and train in different areas of R&D at the start of their careers. Dr.Williams and her team of recruiters, hiring managers, and other key stakeholders have been highly successful in their efforts, setting a single recruiting season record for overall hiring and candidate acceptance rate in 2009.
David Harwell is the Assistant Director for Career Management and Development at ACS. In his job, he works with chemical professionals throughout their careers. He is a chemist by training and a career counselor by profession. Before joining the staff of ACS Dave was a faculty member at the University of Hawaii focusing on silicon nanoparticles and supramolecular structures.
